As a small women-owned and run business, we are in solidarity with
Black Lives Matter movement and are adamantly anti-racist. We believe in equality, justice, and freedom and advocate for the right to equal education for all children. This work is ongoing and we are doing our part in our community through educating, volunteering and donating. We recently raised $1,100 through a virtual art fundraiser on Instagram for both The Black United Fund Of Oregon which supports the black community of Portland and the Bail Project which prevents incarceration by combatting racial and economic disparities in the bail system. We donate a percentage of our earnings yearly to JOIN PDX which helps homeless mothers and children in Portland get into permanent housing. We believe that all humans are worthy of love, opportunity and equality. Together, we CAN make a difference. COVID 19 announcement: Hello fellow humans! We hope you are staying safe at home (or covering that beautiful face if you're out!) Our physical brick-and-mortar is back open using best practices of social distancing, face covering and hand sanitation. You can still support small business by ordering online or purchasing a gift card! Stay strong... together we will get through this! XOBRUNO is a woman owned and run company.
We design and make leather and canvas goods in our Portland studio with the best leather, tools, materials and care. Our line is inspired by classic design, a love of travel and the kind of bag that just gets better with time. We thank you for your support these past 15 years! We wouldn't be here with out you!" the "BRUNO" in xobruno is an homage to my grandmother and all of the extraordinary women in my family. It was her maiden name.
I've been sewing since she taught me to thread a needle at age 8. I have memories of her teaching me the back stitch and straight stitch and tying a french knot. We embroidered, we crocheted, we sewed, cooked, and colored...I always had my hands in something creative at her house. Gran was a tenacious, big-hearted woman. She made a mean cabbage roll, could cut a rug like nobody's business and was always up for an adventure. I miss her... she will always be an inspiration. - M Gino Kline (she/her) ![]() Check it out - Weebly featured us in a national TV commercial!
