I was able to get away for 2 whole weeks for a design residency in New Orleans, my other home in many ways. I lived here on and off between 1993-1998 before moving to the Pacific NW. I try to go back every year as it always holds a place in my heart and where I feel most comfortable in some ways. Worked on on bunch of new designs while I was there, rode my friends bike all over town in the sunshine, reconnected with old friends and family, ate a ton of amazing food and pretty much didn't want to leave when my 2 weeks was up. If only I could live there 6 months out of the year... Yes, someday!
